Bio
My research focuses on the interface between nano-biomaterials to alleviate and advance three critical areas of global and technological/scientific significance, namely energy, energetics and environment.
My research group seeks to carry out experimental and theoretical investigations into the synthesis and structure-property characterizations of complex and advanced nanomaterials, and their systematic integration with functional biomolecules and proteins. Our fundamental goal is to understand and design bio-inspired and bio-mimetic systems that find applications in sustainable energy, solid propellant energetics, and environmental impacts of nanotechnology.
