I am responsible for a programme of research spanning a range of activities from the basic conception and design of new MRI methodology through to its implementation and application to probe current issues in neuroscience. Methods under development are largely based around the echo planar imaging technique and include functional MRI and quantitative imaging methods. These methodological developments are being carried out on three state-of-the-art, whole-body scanners operating at 9.4T, 4T, 3T and a homebuilt 9.4T animal scanner.
