Naimul Khan (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, ON, Canada, where he co-directs the Ryerson Multimedia Research Laboratory (RML). His research focuses on creating user-centric intelligent systems through the combination of novel machine learning and human–computer interaction mechanisms. Mr. Khan is a Senior Member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia, the OCE Talent Edge Postdoctoral Fellowship, and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
