I'm interested in high-impact weather processes in the western US, especially topics of mountain meteorology. My current research spans three main topics: wildfire plume dynamics, boundary layer controls on convection, and mesoscale controls on orographic precipitation. Across these interests my goal is to leverage high resolution observations and simulations to probe the underlying dynamics of poorly understood atmospheric processes.
