Bio
Nibir K. Dhar received the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics from University of Maryland, College Park.
As a Member of Technical Staff at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi, MD, he has worked in the area of composite substrate research and development to demonstrate the feasibility of scalable large-format IR focal plane array technology. He is internationally recognized in the HgCdTe-based IR technology community. His research work also includes detailed growth kinetics of group II–VI and IV–VI semiconductor materials using MBE and chemical synthesis of nanoparticle systems. Recently, he has been working on nanomaterials for photovoltaics and thermoelectric devices.
Dr. Dhar currently serves as a member of the Organizing Committee for two international conferences in the IR materials and nanoscience technology area.
