Nicholas C. Patterson

Nick Patterson received the Ph.D. degree from Deakin University, in 2013. He has great capacity to learn and grasp new ideas quickly, the flexibility to work well on his own initiative, and a friendly attitude to excel in cross-functional team environments. He is a self-starter with personal drive and commitment to provide exceptional service to stakeholders. He thrives in investigating and researching technological problems and vulnerabilities that may lead to fraud or cybercrime and design solutions for protection. Finally, he has shown dedication and loyalty in the past as well as being effective in stressful situations and meeting deadlines. His research interests include IT security, forensics, hacking countermeasures, biotechnology, criminology, and agile project management. He was a recipient of the Alfred Deakin Thesis Medal, in 2014, for research that was focused on Improving the World.
