Nicholas P Robinson

Nicholas P Robinson currently works at the Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences (BLS), Lancaster University. The Robinson laboratory investigates mechanisms regulating chromosome stability and protein homeostasis using archaea as biochemically tractable model systems to further our understanding of disease states including cancers and neurodegenerative conditions. The most recent publication from the Robinson lab is 'Functional reconstruction of a eukaryotic-like E1/E2/(RING) E3 ubiquitylation cascade from an uncultured archaeon'; this study providrd insights into the evolution of the ubiquitylation systems, which are central to protein homeostasis in archaeal and eukaryotic systems.
