Oliver E Dial

Oliver Dial (M’16) received the B.S. degree in physics from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2007. His graduate studies focused on tunneling spectroscopy and the quantum Hall effect. He then moved to Harvard in 2010 where he studied semiconductor quantum dot qubits and their application to quantum computing. In 2012, he joined IBM Research, Yorktown Heights, NY, USA. His research interests include experimental studies of coherence and quantum control in superconducting transmon qubits.
