Peter Hammond studied mathematics at Oxford University and Computer Science at Imperial College, where he held an EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship. He is Professor of Biomedical Informatics at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, London, U.K. His lab builds computational models of craniofacial development, growth and repair to aid training in the facial aspects of dysmorphology; to support screening/diagnosis of genetic conditions with a facial phenotype; to help genotype-phenotype studies of the role of genes in craniofacial development; and to track face shape change during craniofacial surgery and other treatments.
