I have a background in respiratory medicine, with specific training and expertise in airway diseases and tuberculosis. I have the expertise and training, leadership and motivation necessary to successfully carry out the research projects. My research includes Asthma in children and adults, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Food Allergy and Tuberculosis. As PI or co-Investigator on several Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), European Union and GHES, NIH (USA) grants, I have done large scale epidemiological studies involving house-to-house surveys and schools of more than 70,000 subjects.
