Pilar Queralt received the degree in physics and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1984 and 1989, respectively. She is a Full Professor with the Department of Earth and Ocean Dynamics, University of Barcelona. Her Ph.D. was focused on 2-D forward modeling for dc using the finite element method. Her research interests include modeling and inversion of electromagnetic datasets, electromagnetic explorations at depth scales, and their applications for the characterization and monitoring of geological reservoirs (e.g., geothermal reservoirs, CO2 storage, and deep aquifers). As a result of this research, she has more than 74 publications in SCI journals.
