Bio
Peter Reinartz is department head of the department “Photogrammetry and Image Analysis” at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), Remote Sensing Technology Institute (IMF) and holds a professorship for computer science at the University of Osnabrueck. He has more than 30 years of experience in image processing and remote sensing. His main interests are in machine learning, stereo-photogrammetry and data fusion using space borne and airborne image data, generation of digital elevation models and interpretation of very high resolution data from sensors like WorldView, GeoEye, and Pleiades. He is also engaged in using remote sensing data for disastmanagement and using time series of airborne image data for real time image processing and for traffic monitoring.
