Pierre Sagaut received the Ph.D. degree in large-eddy simulation of turbulent separated flows from Université Pierre et Marie Curie—Paris VI, Paris, France, in 1995. From 1995 to 2002, he was a Senior Scientist in the Aerodynamics and Acoustics Department, French National Aerospace Laboratory. He was a Full Professor at Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 2002 and he moved to Aix-Marseille University in 2014. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics, turbulence dynamics and modeling, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, uncertainty quantification and propagation, and numerical methods. Dr. Sagaut is a Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France. He received the John Green Prize of the International Council for Aeronautical Sciences in 2002 and the Great Prize from the French Academy of Sciences and the EADS Foundation. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Computational Physics, Journal of Scientific Computing, and Journal of Turbulence and the Editor-in-Chief of Computers and Fluids.
