长期从事各种可控/“活性”聚合理论与技术、各种复杂结构的功能聚合物分子设计与合成、有机/无机杂化材料设计与制备、聚合物单分子纳米反应器以及无机纳米晶体的精准定制等方面的研究。在Science、Nature Nanotechnology等学术刊物上发表论文80余篇。先后承担或参与完成多项国家自然科学基金项目、国家重点研发项目、美国空军项目、美国国家科学基金项目以及企业项目。
