Parimal Acharjee (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E.E. degree from North Bengal University, Siliguri, India, in 1996, and the M.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2001 and 2007, respectively, all in electrical engineering. He has three years of industrial experience and 19 years of teaching experience. He is currently with the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, Durgapur, India, as a Professor. His research interests include application of soft-computing techniques in various power system problems, DG, FACTS devices, and smart grid.
