He is responsible for developing and applying innovative approaches to technical infrastructure, workflows, and services that maximize the effective use of clinical information for quality improvement and clinical and translational research in cancer care. His primary areas of interest in informatics include data mining from clinical information systems, electronic phenotyping, database design and clinical data warehouse development, and ontologies and standardized terminologies.
