Pierre De Wit

I am interested in the study of evolution at all levels, from adaptations to local environments and population genetics to how species form and to try to elucidate the history of life on earth. My current main goals are: • To learn which genes are involved in adaptation to environmental change and how genetic changes 
in these genes change the organisms’ fitness. • To understand how existing genetic variation will allow marine animals to adapt to future changes in the ocean environment.
