Dr. Fan has extensive experience in genetic and genomics research on complex human traits. She leads projects investigating susceptibility genes and genetic modifiers for complex diseases, with a focus on ocular disorders, and studies genetic pleiotropy across health and behavioral traits. She has a broad interest in precision health through the analysis of high-dimensional data. In addition, Dr. Fan applies her statistical expertise to clinical and epidemiological projects across various fields and serves as a quantitative mentor for third-year Duke-NUS medical students in the Scholarly Development Program.
