My lab is working on mineral nutrition of crop plants, exploring the physiological and molecular mechanisms and identifying superior ‘donors’ for nitrogen and phosphorus use efficiency in crops. We are also involved in functional characterization of uncharacterized genes identified from leaf proteome involved in foliar absorption of iron, and from root proteome in response to phosphorus stress tolerance in soybean. Presently, working on genome-wide association studies for low phosphorus stress.
