Research Interests: Characterisation of the structural properties of organic materials for their technical application. Thin films of molecular crystals, liquid crystals, polymers as well as of selfassembled monolayers are investigated in terms of their thin film morphology and crystalline properties. The goal of the research work is to identify the basic mechanisms which determine the crystallographic order at interfaces and to understand the formation of polymorph phases at surfaces.
