I am currently an Assistant Professor (Research) at the School of Medicine, Reno, UNR studying Neurogastroenterology & Motility. My research has focused on understanding the pathogenesis and molecular mechanisms of disorders of gut-brain interactions (DGBIs). Our current research focuses on cellular and molecular pathways underlying gut microbiota-host crosstalk modulating the immune cells, interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs), & enterochromaffin (EC) cells in the maintenance of gut homeostasis.
