D. Rangaprakash received the Master's degree in electrical
communication engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in
electrical and computer engineering and psychology (minor) from Auburn University, Auburn, AL, USA, in 2016. He is a
Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, University of California Los
Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA. He was also a Research Associate in the same place for a year after his Master's
degree. His overarching goal is to understand the brain's functioning and develop effective treatments through
advanced brain signal processing techniques. Ultimately, he wants his research to enable handing over complete control
of one's brain to oneself, be it in healthy individuals or otherwise. As of March 2017, he has published eight
peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields of signal processing and neuroimaging.
