René Hübner

Rene Huebner received the Diploma degree in solid-state physics and the Dr. rer. nat. degree from Dresden University of Technology, Dresden, Germany, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. From 2005 to 2007, he had postdoctoral positions at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Singapore, and Albany NanoTech, Albany, NY. In 2007, he joined Advanced Micro Devices, Dresden, where he worked in the field of transmission electron microscopy for process development, physical failure analysis, and quality control. In 2009, he moved to the Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing (IZFP), Dresden, and in 2012, he joined Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, where he is currently a Researcher. He has authored or coauthored more than 30 publications in scientific books and journals and has been invited to several international conferences. His current interests and activities are focused on developing and applying advanced analytical techniques in the transmission electron microscope for studying new materials in nanotechnology.
