My present research focuses on unraveling the correlation between local structure (sub-nano/atomic scale) and properties in functional material (especially battery), through advanced transmission electron microscopy. 1. In-situ transmission electron microscopy on cathode/anode material for lithium/sodium storage; Electron 3D tomography; Atomic scale structure/defects characterization. 2. Sub-nano scale structure design/synthesis with lithium storage mechanism investigation by in situ TEM;
