Dr. Taichman's science focuses on identifying osteoblast-specific factor(s) that supports hematopoiesis. His work has expanded to understanding the mechanisms used by tumor cells to metastasize to the bone marrow niche. Currently the Taichman lab explores the identity and function of mesenchymal stem cells and how the niche regulates tumor dormancy.
