My research interest is focused on the role of immune cells and their interaction during human disease such as cancer or autoimmunity. Specific interest is in the role of B cells in these disease settings. Although role of B cells in different autoimmune disease has been intensively studied less is known about the role of B cells in cancer. As new immunotherapies emerg and give hope to many cancer patients better understanding of the infiltrating lymphocytes inside of the tumor could improve these treatment strategies giving hope to more patients.
