Bio
Sergei has nearly three decades of experience in accelerator science, particle colliders and electron beam cooling. He leading all aspects of the Fermilab accelerator complex operations, upgrades and research.
Sergei also led the development of the very challenging electron cooling system for Fermilab's Recycler, which was central to achieving record luminosity performance at the Tevatron. Additionally, he carried out a world-leading R&D program in advanced beam dynamics experiments at Fermilab's Integral Optics Test Accelerator storage ring, including the first demonstration of optical stochastic cooling.
