Sakari Karjalainen

I am Secretary General of the Cancer Society of Finland since December 2011. Previously I was, for example, Director General of the Department of Education and Science Policy of the Ministry of Education in Finland, Director of the Science Policy Division of the Ministry of Education, Director of Health Research at the Academy of Finland and Assistant Professor at the Tampere University. My main research interests are research ethics, equity in health and education and cancer epidemiology.
