My research examines neuroimaging biomarkers of preclinical Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). Preclinical progression along the AD pathological cascade may be conflated with normal aging processes in many studies seeking to understand the causes of gradual cognitive decline late in life. Our goal is to investigate effects of tau and Aβ accumulation (on PET) on brain structure and function (measured using MRI), and the relative effects of brain differences on cognitive performance.
