Sandesh R. Jadkar received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India, in 1990 and 2001, respectively. He got postdoctoral training at the Laboratory of Physics of Interfaces and Thin Films (LPICM), École Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France, from 2002 to 2003, and the Department of Physics, Camerino University, Camerino, Italy, from 2008 to 2009. He is a Senior Professor of Physics with the Department of Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune University. So far, 25 students have completed Ph.D., and 11 students are working on their Ph.D. under his supervision. He has published more than 250 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and published three book chapters. His research focuses mainly on low-cost thin-film solar cells, water splitting, photodetectors and sensors, and 2-D materials. Dr. Jadkar is a Fellow of the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences.
