N. Satheesh Kumar, Ph.D is a pharmacist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Products, NIPER Kolkata. He received his Ph.D. (Pharmacy) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Satheesh's research interests are focused on the standardization of herbal drugs, stability studies, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and drug transporters. In particular, his lab has been interested in identifying the possible Herb-Drug [HDI], Drug-Drug [DDI] Interactions & Metabolite Profiling. Dr Satheesh is the principal investigator for research projects funded by Indian Govt agencies. For his scientific achievement, he received (1) Start-Up Research Grant (Young Scientists) by DST, Government of India; (2) awarded IDMA Young Pharmaceutical Analyst Award-2014 for his outstanding contributions in the area of Pharmaceutical Analysis; (3) recipient of IDMA-Research award 2015; (4) Indian Society of Mass Spectrometry Young Scientist Award-2019. Dr Satheesh has published more than 50 peer-reviewed research papers and 8 book chapters.
