Sergio Matos (S'00–M'07) was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1976. He received the Diploma degree in systems engineering and computing from the University of Algarve, Faro, Portugal, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical signal processing from the University of Leicester, Leicester, U.K., in 2007. His main research interests are in the application of advanced signal processing techniques for the analysis of biomedical signals.
