Siddappa Setty

Dr. Siddappa Setty is an ethnobotanist with 24 years of experience working in tribal areas in South India on community and biodiversity conservation. He focused on ecological, social and economic aspects of forest resource, sustainable use and participatory resource monitoring. He is a program leader under Forest and Governance program and coordinating two community conservation centers of ATREE. He played an important role in improving livelihood of the indigenous community called Soliga. He is currently coordinating a project funded by USAID “Managing India’s Forests for Biodiversity and Human Well-being in the Face of Global Environmental Change.
