Bio
Boaz Shulruf is Professor in Medical Education. His main research interest is in the area of psycho-educational assessment in higher education, particularly within the context of Medical and Health Sciences Education. Boaz’s expertise is in quantitative research methodologies and educational assessment and psychometrics. Boaz is an active member of a number of research groups in Australia New Zealand and overseas. Boaz’s current research projects are:
Standard setting in educational assessment: Pass/fail decision making over borderline grades;
Medical student selection and university admission policies;
Development of observational tools for measuring individuals and teams performance;
Assessment within cross cultural contexts;
Student perceptions of learning environment and learning experiences;
Assessing educational impacts.
