Guilherme Sofia

Sofia Guilherme University of Aveiro, Portugal Sofia Guilherme received the degree on Biology and Geology (2002) from the University of Aveiro, the master degree on Toxicology (2007) from the University of Aveiro and the Ph.D. degree on Biology (2012) from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Since 2013, she is a PostDoc fellow in the Biology Department of the University of Aveiro and an integrated member of the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies – CESAM. Her main interests concerning aquatic toxicology (several classes of contaminants) are: toxicity mechanisms, molecular toxicology and risk assessment; oxidative stress, biotransformation and genotoxicity. She is co-author of more than 20 referred papers with almost 200 citations and has participated in several research projects. She supervised 3 master students, 6 graduation students and 3 internship students. Presently, she supervises a master student and a co-supervises a PhD student.
