Soon-Thiam Khu

Soon-Thiam Khu received the B.Eng. degree in civil engineering and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), in 1994 and 1998, respectively. After Postdoctoral positions with NUS and DHI Water and Environment, he joined Delft University of Technology as a Senior Research Fellow. In 2000, he joined the faculty of the University of Exeter, Exeter, U.K., and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2005. His research is in a new field known as Hydroinformatics, which spans across data mining, evolutionary computation, and water engineering. His research interests include multiobjective population-based optimization techniques, calibration of hydraulic and hydrologic models, and optimal design of urban water network models.
