Biotechnologist with PhD in “Quality food and human nutrition”, Senior researcher at European Institute for Research in Cystic fibrosis (IERFC onlus), Milan from 2015 to 2020. My main interest is the study of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) disease mechanisms and their modulation. During my research activity at IERFC onlus, I focused on the study of mechanisms to restore and stabilize the functional F508delCFTR at Plasma Membran, through a novel approach that aims to improve the derailed intracellular environment in CF, instead of directly targeting the CFTR mutant, through the use of drugs capable of restoring the oxidative balance and autophagy parameters in CF models. My work experiences have strengthened and highlighted my expertise especially in Cell Biology
