Srdan Verstovsek, MD, PhD, serves as Professor of Medicine in the Department of Leukemia at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is the Founder and Director of the Clinical Research Center for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs) at MD Anderson and a global leader in this group of diseases. Dr Verstovsek's clinical and translational research is focused on understanding the biology of and developing new therapies for MPNs. He led the clinical development of landmark therapeutics for MPNs, and has been principal investigator for more than 60 clinical trials testing novel therapies for MPN. Dr Verstovsek has published more than 500 articles in prominent medical journals. His contributions have been globally recognized with awards and invitations as an expert lecturer at national and international conferences.
