Stefan Borik

Stefan Borik received the M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical electrical engineering from the University of Žilina, Žilina, Slovakia, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. In 2021, he was appointed as an Associate Professor with the Electromagnetic and Biomedical Engineering Department, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Žilina. In addition, he has had the opportunity to collaborate with RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany, as a Guest Scientist, in 2014, 2019, 2020, and 2022. Furthermore, in 2022, he was a Visiting Faculty at IIT Madras, Chennai, India. His education focuses on biomedical engineering and research in biomedical sensors, biosignal measurement techniques and processing, and noninvasive diagnostics. His research interests include noninvasive cardiovascular diagnostics with a particular emphasis on tissue perfusion using optoelectronic measurement methods. Other research interests include biomedical device instrumentation and signal processing.
