I am interested in volcanoes as mechanical systems with a focus on the questions: How is magma transported? How do magma chambers form, evolve & look like? How is magma transport & storage interacting with the surrounding rocks? To contribute to answer these questions, I combine field mapping, structural analyses, 3D, analogue and numerical modelling, but also igneous petrology, statistics, and geophysical methods.
