Stephan W. Wegerich

Stephan Wegerich is Chief Scientist at SmartSignal Corp. where he joined in 1999 after working 6 years at Argonne National Laboratory as a researcher in the Reactor Analysis Division. While at Argonne, his research was centered on various multi-dimensional signal processing applications and the multivariate state estimation technique (MSET) which is the precursor to Smartsignal's current SBM technology. He is a recipient of the 1998 RD-JOO award for his contributions to the development of MSET. He is a specialist in signal processing, and has 13 issued patents and 14 applications and has an extensive list of publications and presentations. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University and a MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
