Stephan Wegerich

Mr. Wegerich received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL in 1991 and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, Illinois in 1995. From 1993 to 1999 he was a researcher at Argonne National Laboratory. From 1999 to 2007 he served as Chief Scientist at SmartSignal Corporation (now a GE company) in Lisle, IL. Since 2007 he has been Chief Science Officer at physIQ in Naperville, IL. Stephan holds 33 issued US patents and currently has over 26 US patent applications pending, and has published numerous articles. Mr. Wegerich is a recipient of the 1998 RD-100 award for his contributions to the development of MSET (Multivariate State Estimation Technique). In 2003 he was named one of Chicago's "Top 40 under 40" by Crain's Chicago Business. His technology received the 2003 Chicago Sun-Times Innovation Award and was a runner-up for the 2006 Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Awards.
