In 2006, I founded the Trauma Studies Centre, which is part of the Montreal Mental Health University Institute (Institut universitaire en sante mentale de Montreal). Since then, my team and I have been conducting studies on post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health issues among victims of violent criminal acts, military veterans, and workers in high-risk sectors. All our current studies utilize a longitudinal design and one of them is a RCT.
