Steve Geoffrion

Prof Geoffrion works at the Universite de Montreal as well as the Trauma Studies Center. He studies disorders linked to traumatic events in the workplace in order to improve their prevention and the support offered to victims. Current projects include: identifying biopsychosocial characteristics predicting violent behaviour in psychiatric patients; studying factors linked to coercive practices in care settings; evaluating the efficacy of post-traumatic interventions for workers affected by workplace violence. He is also involved in research on innovative violence prevention interventions. He uses mixed and participative research designs, thereby involving knowledge users in every research aspect.
