Bio
Steve is an archaeologist and ecologist specializing in the historical ecology of human adaptations during the Holocene in North and South America. He is professor at the University of North Texas in Geography. His research focuses on adaptations among prehistoric hunter-gatherers and contemporary pastoralists, on animal ecology, and on the use of datasets from zooarchaeology and paleontology to address modern issues in conservation biology.
