I'm a behavioural and evolutionary ecologist with the overarching research aim of bridging organismal and molecular perspectives on adaptive evolution and plasticity. My main focus is on male fertility traits such as spermatogenesis and seminal fluid, and especially on how sperm competition shapes their evolution. A current complementary research goal is to understand the implications of hermaphroditism for the operation of sexual selection, sexual conflict and transitions in sexual mode.
