Steven B. Estrella (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), Santa Barbara, CA, USA, in 2010 and 2018, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. He is the Quantum Technology and Applications Technical Leader and a Senior Photonic Systems Engineer at Freedom Photonics LLC, Santa Barbara, with responsibilities, including photonic device, module, and system design and testing. He has authored or coauthored more than 35 publications in the area of photonics. His research interests include Si photonics, photonic devices, and systems.
