Steven Hargreaves (S'11) was born in 1970. He received the B. Sc. degree in Applicable Mathematics from Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester, U.K., in 1993, the M. Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, U.K., in 1998, and the M. Sc. degree in Audio Acoustics from the University of Salford, Salford, U.K., in 2005. He has spent several years working as both a software and an acoustic engineer, and is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary University of London, London, U.K. His research interests are music information retrieval and machine learning, with a particular focus on multitrack audio.
