Subrata Banerjee (Senior Member, IEEE) is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India. He has authored about 220 research papers in national/international journals and conference records. His research interests include modeling & control of switch-mode converters and inverters, multilevel inverters and different modulation techniques, electromagnetic levitation, active magnetic bearing, controller design, and intelligent control. Prof. Banerjee was the recipient of several academic awards, including ten nos. Best Paper Awards, TATA RAO Prize, and IETE Bimal Bose Award. He is a Fellow of IE (India), IETE (India), and IET (U.K.).
