Sung-Gyu Park was born in Cheongju, Korea, in 1977. He received the B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Ajou University, in 2003, the M.S. degree in chemical engineering from POSTECH, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in biomolecular and chemical engineering from KAIST, in 2010. He was a Research Associate on the microfluidic deoxyribonucleic acid electrophoresis at the University of Minnesota from 2010 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been a Senior Researcher with the Korea Institute of Materials Science. He has authored one book chapter, over 40 articles, and more than 20 inventions. His research interests include localized surface plasmon resonance, nanofabrication, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, holographic lithography, 3D nanopatterning, photonic crystals, and microfluidics. Dr. Park was a recipient of the Presidential Award for Honor Student in 2003, and the Best Paper Award at the 10th U.S.-Korea Forum on Nanotechnology in 2013.
